Residential Weatherization

Residential weatherization presents a perfect opportunity to create an industry that supports low-income communities, workers and the environment. Billions of dollars are being made available for weatherization and energy efficiency projects.

Community, labor and environmental partnerships can ensure that funding creates high quality, family-supporting jobs in the new green industries. Through the adoption of community benefits that help establish job quality standards and career pathways, and create policy mechanisms to help low-income people get the jobs, community and elected leaders can ensure that these jobs have the maximum positive impact on urban economies.

This web page aims to provide you with the resources needed to create a high quality green residential career campaign in your community. It will continue to be a work in progress, so please check back for updates. Please contact Kathleen Mulligan-Hansel, Partnership Research and Communications Director, if you can’t find what you’re looking for or have materials you’d like to submit.
